- Screening of the historical documentary, The 1822 Massacre of Chios with the participation of historians Thanos Veremis, Andreas Koukos, Gonda van Steen,Michael Moschos, Kostas Frangomichalos.

- Lecture by Dr. Ioli Vingopoulou, Researcher at the National Research Foundation and Aikaterini Laskaridou Foundation, on Chios of the European travelers: the place, the
people, the monuments (16th- 19th century).

KEEPING THE FLAME ALIVE – A MUSICAL EVENT
- A musical event in Volissos, the medieval village of Amani. It’s castle, illuminated by lanterns, built on the slope of a high and steep hill, will welcome a special performance in a unique atmosphere with Manos Vassilakis and Nikos Issidoros. They will take us to a journey in the Greek mythology and the past.

- The Greek Revolution in Music and Opera”, Illustrated lecture by Helena Matheopoulos, Associate Editor of Opera Now magazine, UK, Opera Feature Writer and Author. Author of seven books on Conductors and opera singers published in the UK and US and translated into several languages. The Talk will trace the effect of the massacres of Chios and Messolonghi on major western composers such as Rossini and Berlioz as well as Pavlos Carrer, native of Zakynthos and famous in Italy. It will be illustrated with excerpts from Rossini’s opera “Le siege de Corinthe”, Berlioz’s cantata “La revolution Greque” and Carrer’s operas “Marco Bozzari” and “Kyra Frosyni.
