A NORTH AEGEAN REGION EVENT | THE CHIOS FESTIVAL | 24th APRIL 2024 | HELLENIC CENTER LONDON
In this event dedicated to the beauty and culture of the Aegean Islands, the North Aegean Region will have the honour to welcome H.E. the Ambassador of Greece to the U.K Mr. Ioannis Tsaousis, the renowned writer Victoria Hislop, the literary historian Michael Moschos, director of the international London Hellenic Prize, who will present highlights of the 2023 Chios Festival.
Award-winning film director Eva Nathena will introduce THE 2024 CHIOS FESTIVAL.
Famous actor and director Lakis Lazopoulos who will introduce the 2024 SAPPHO LESBOS FESTIVAL
Guests will enjoy Greek music by the Rebetiko Orchestra.
The event will be coordinated by presenter Andriana Manetta, communication specialist.

Distinguished speakers such as H.E. Matthew Lodge, British Ambassador to Greece, Tim Witmarsh, Regius Professor of Greek, University of Cambridge, TV presenter and historian Bettany Hughes, author Victoria Hislop, George Winsdor, Earl of St Andrews, Chancellor of Bolton University, ex Rector of Athens University Professor George Babiniotis, Professor Nick Stambolidis, Director of the Acropolis Museum, Academician Professor Christos Zerefos, actress and film director Mimi Denissi, musicians George Lemos and George Hatzinasios, film director Eva Nathena, famous singer-performer Eleftheria Arvanitaki accompanied by Eleonora Zouganeli in concert.
On 28th of August, painter, sculptor, and installation artist Kalliopi Lemou will open an exhibition of her work especially created for her native island of Chios with the collaboration of Hellenic Centre in London.
